2.Product advantages
1. Mold Shell Firing Process:
Removing Volatile Matter: Binders (such as water glass and silica sol) and wax residues in the mold shell can evaporate, burn, or decompose during heating. Electric firing furnaces use precisely programmed temperature control to completely remove these organic compounds, preventing the generation of gases during pouring that can cause porosity in the casting.
2. Mold Shell Sintering: After reaching a higher, predetermined temperature and maintaining it for a period of time, the refractory materials in the mold shell (such as zircon sand and mullite) undergo a sintering reaction, giving the mold shell sufficient high-temperature strength and stability to withstand the impact and static pressure of the molten metal.
3. Reaching the Pouring Temperature: The fired mold shell must be maintained at a higher temperature ("hot casting") to ensure that the molten metal can fill the complex, thin-walled cavity of the mold shell. Electric firing furnaces can precisely heat and maintain the mold shell at the desired pouring temperature.
4. Precise Control: The entire process is precisely controlled by a programmable logic controller (PLC) and a temperature control system (typically using PID control). The operator can preset a heating curve (including heating rate, target temperature, holding time, etc.), and the system will automatically and accurately execute it to ensure consistent baking quality of each furnace shell.
